you know, sometimes it seems that it's only life's hardships that show us the true value of the good things in life — what i mean is, if you aren't confronted by the stark reality of what losing something would mean, how can you possibly appreciate it for what it is...?

forgive my mood — i'm by turns happier than i've ever been, and more melancholy than i can express, but it will pass... i need to get some sleep...
